Ansty, Wiltshire · Cranborne Chase AONB
A beautifully restored barn for two, in one of Wiltshire's most peaceful and celebrated villages.
The Story
The Barn at Frog Pond Farm is a lovingly restored agricultural barn, transformed into a stylish and comfortable retreat for two. Every detail has been considered — from the floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the countryside, to the cast-iron bath and the mezzanine reading nook tucked above the living space.
The result is a place that feels genuinely special: full of character, beautifully calm, and thoughtfully equipped for a proper escape. Guests consistently remark on the peace, the cleanliness, and the attention to detail.
It sleeps two, making it ideal for couples — whether you're celebrating something, or simply in need of a few days away from the world.
Inside the Barn
Open-plan living and dining with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the garden and countryside. Light floods in at every hour.
Tucked above the living area, a cosy mezzanine with books, blankets, and views — the perfect place to disappear for an afternoon.
A calm, beautifully dressed bedroom with a king-size bed, quality linens, and the kind of quiet that only the countryside can offer.
The luxurious bathroom centres on a cast-iron bath — perfect for long soaks with a glass of wine after a day on the Wiltshire hills.
Everything you need to cook properly, from a good coffee machine to quality cookware. Local produce is available nearby.
Your own garden with outdoor seating and views over the countryside. Mornings here, with coffee and birdsong, are hard to beat.
The Village
The barn sits in the heart of Ansty, a small and beautiful village near Tisbury in the Nadder Valley. Ansty was awarded Best Kept Small Village in 2019 and 2020 — a recognition of the care and pride its community takes in this exceptional place.
The village is set within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with walks to Old Wardour Castle starting from the village itself. Tisbury, with its train station and good local shops, is just a few minutes' drive away.
It is, in short, the kind of place that makes you wonder why you don't live in the countryside.
